🎮 Gamify Rural Youth Work!

Gamification in Youth Work

🤔 What is gamification 🎮 in the youth work context?

👉 Gamification is basically about using game elements/mechanics ⚙️ in the learning process and youth work activities to make the experience more fun, interactive, and motivating. ⚠️ It does not mean turning youth work into a video game. It means using things like points, challenges, team missions, quizzes, small competitions, 🏆 badges, or daily tasks to keep young people engaged and active.

🤸 In youth work, especially during youth exchanges, training courses, and local activities, gamification can make a big difference. It can help young people participate 📈🚀 more, work better in teams, reflect on what they learned, and enjoy the process more. For example, instead of just attending sessions, participants can complete missions, 🎯 collect points for teamwork or creativity, take part in quizzes, or join group challenges during the day.

👌 The best part is that gamification is not only about fun. It can actually make learning stronger and help people feel more included, motivated, and connected to the group. When used in a good way, it brings more energy into youth activities and makes the whole experience more memorable.

🎮 The project GRYW is a 23-month long project under the Erasmus+ KA2 CBY call, that aims to promote 🚀 innovative grassroots youth work in rural communities of partnering countries by integrating gamified non-formal learning with digital tools in youth work.
